Toronto House Cleaning know for sure – Cleaning the bathroom will be easier if you follow the 7 tips for repairs
We have already found out more than once what people regret about, having completed repairs in their apartment. About half of the regrets are related to the topic of cleaning: the wrong materials were chosen or other mistakes were made, and now people, instead of loving the interior, think only of how not to get it dirty. To prevent this from happening to you, we have gathered useful tips for you to decorate the bathroom, following which you will provide yourself with the simplest possible cleaning.
1. Dangerous glossy surface
The first rule – the more glossy and mirror surfaces in your bathroom, the harder the cleaning. If in other rooms only fingerprints are dangerous to shine, then water drops are added to the bathroom, which dry out and leave ugly stains. Large mirrors that visually expand the bathroom also do not facilitate cleaning.
2. Relief surfaces
The other extreme is a strong relief. For example, a tile that imitates natural stone, or small mosaic on the wall. Deepening is harder to wash, therefore, you will have to put more effort to achieve perfect cleanliness. The golden mean in the bathroom will be matte surfaces and large-format tiles.
3. Light tones
On light dirt is better visible, and on dark dust and traces of droplets, so it is better to give preference to light colors. You should not choose a white grout for tile joints, gray will be more practical. For white tile, you can even allow a glossy finish, and for black it will be a killer combination.
4. Materials for bath and sink
Here we mean not how comfortable it will be to lie in the bath, but how comfortable it is to wash it. For plumbing, enamel will be the most successful coating – there are no pores in it, and pollution is easier to remove. It is more difficult to wash porous acrylic, it spoils from strong chemical agents, dyes quickly penetrate into it: I forgot to remove a spot of gouache, forgotten for the night on an acrylic shell, in several approaches and did not believe that it would ever be washed.
5. Curtain or partition?
Glass partitions instead of curtains in the bathroom look spectacular, but with them you need to constantly remove the drops with a scraper, otherwise they will look awful. The same difficulties with showers. You can ease the task by treating the surfaces (including sanitary ware) with a special water-repellent coating or by buying an already treated material.
6. Embedded Plumbing
The plumbing parts hidden in the wall do not need to be cleaned from dust and wash – the use is noticeable. And if the plumbing is suspended, it will be even more convenient to clean. Under the hanging toilet, you can simply walk with a mop and not wash all the corners. If you do not want to embed plumbing, stop your choice on its simplest form – without threading, unnecessary bends and other decorative elements.
7. Antibacterial protection
The appearance of any bathroom will be spoiled if mold appears in it. The most frequent place of its development is interdigital joints, so choose a two-component grout with an antibacterial substance. Ordinary grouting can also be protected by treating the compounds with mold and periodically re-coating the seams. If some surfaces in the bathroom are painted, it must also be anti-bacterial. Choose a paint labeled “for bathrooms”.
